I’m so excited to share that Brittany and Ian’s golden hour engagement session at Cross Estate Garden has been featured in Contemporary Weddings Magazine!

Flipping through the pages at Barnes & Noble yesterday morning felt all sorts of surreal (and I’d be lying if I said that I didn’t buy every copy on display!). The Spring 2019 edition will be on stands from now until May.

Check out their full engagement session by clicking HERE. Congratulations, Brittany & Ian! I cannot wait for your beautiful wedding at Indian Trail Club this summer.

I met up with Angie & Dennis a couple of weeks ago for their engagement session in New York City! While we were planning for their session, Angie sent me pictures of a rooftop deck near Columbus Circle with incredible views of Central Park. I’m almost positive that I was grinning from ear to ear while looking at her photos (yes, I’m serious!). I always love photographing my couples in unique locations that are significant to them, and since Angie lived in New York City and had previously worked in the building with the rooftop deck, I knew that it would be the perfect location!

After soaking in the views, we made our way through Central Park and over to Bethesda Terrace. I had never been to Bethesda Terrace before, but I’ve always been drawn to the grand architecture. I was so thrilled when Angie & Dennis decided to take my suggestion for their second location! And I think it’s safe to say that this location DEFINITELY didn’t disappoint! 🙂

Congratulations, Angie & Dennis! You are both such a joy to work with. I can’t wait for your wedding at Waterloo Village this fall!

Do Chris & Alyssa look familiar? You might have seen them on the blog a couple of months ago when I photographed their proposal at Deep Cut Gardens! When Alyssa told me that she and Chris were thinking about having their engagement session in DUMBO, my ears perked up. I had only been to DUMBO once before, but I vividly remembered the cobblestone streets, old brick buildings, and, of course, the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. If you’ve been following around here for any length of time, then you know that I’m huge fan of classic and unique architecture – and I always get excited when my couples are too.

We spent the evening exploring all of the special locations that DUMBO has to offer. From the skyline, to the painted murals, to the Brooklyn Bridge itself, there was so much variety to capture!

Chris & Alyssa, congratulations on your engagement! Enjoy some of my favorites from their session below.

When Chris first contacted me a few months ago about photographing his proposal, I couldn’t have been more excited! He decided on Deep Cut Gardens as the location, which made for the most magical backdrop for such a special moment.

After Alyssa said yes (of course!), we explored and took photos all throughout Deep Cut Gardens. After we were done, Alyssa and Chris headed back to their house where their closest family members and friends were waiting to celebrate their engagement!

Congratulations, to the newly engaged couple! I couldn’t be more excited for you both!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: I LOVE when my clients choose an engagement session location that’s meaningful to them — and that’s exactly what Ellesa and Kevin chose to do! It always makes the session all the more special.

Ellesa and Kevin both met and graduated from Kean University. Having spent much of their time as undergraduates in the STEM building (and being math enthusiasts in general :)), it seemed like the perfect location for their session. The STEM building was complete with modern lighting fixtures, walls tiled in a DNA pattern, and a rooftop deck with views of New York City. Before our session, Ellesa had mentioned that she was looking for an industrial inspired vibe — and the STEM building fit her vision to a T!

Congratulations on your engagement, Ellesa and Kevin! I can’t wait to celebrate with you both next July! Enjoy some of my favorite images from their session, and be sure to click here to read about their proposal.

Special thank you to Kathryn Wambach (@authentikat) for the amazing hair and makeup!

When Brittany mentioned that she and Ian were looking for a soft and romantic vibe for their engagement session, I suggested what I thought to be the perfect location! Cross Estate Garden is a hidden gem in Somerset County, tucked away on a winding road with overflowing English gardens and wide open fields. Pair that with golden hour and this sweet couple? Talk about a photographers dream!

We started our session in one of the overflowing fields (where the golden hour light was absolutely incredible!) before making our way over to the peony-filled gardens. Brittany & Ian fully trusted my vision and were happy to hop into the field together — and I’m so glad they did! I loved watching them enjoy each other and have fun during their session.

It was such a joy getting to learn more about Brittany & Ian’s love story, and hear all about their wedding day vision. Their wedding at Indian Trail Club next year is going to be nothing short of amazing!

What a whirlwind of a weekend for weddings! I travelled from Sparta all the way down to Asbury Park and photographed four (yes, four!) weddings for some sweet couples along the way. It’s always so interesting to see the different venues, color schemes, themes, and unique traditions that each couple incorporates into their wedding day. There’s so much variety from wedding to wedding – one day I’m at the beach, and the next day I’m on top of a mountain!

That being said, I’m so excited to share Krysti & Taylor’s engagement session that we had on their BOAT a couple of weeks ago! I’ve never had a session on a boat before, and I sure hope that I get to do it again sometime soon. I love when my couples plan an adventure for their engagement session, and Krysti & Taylor did exactly that!

Krysti & Taylor are high school sweethearts and have two of the most adorable little boys. During our initial phone chat, Krysti & I discovered that she, Taylor, and Ryan all went to high school together (two hours south of where I live in Morristown!). They went to a large high school and didn’t know each other, but still, what a small world!

While we were deciding on the perfect location for their engagement session, Krysti suggested her parent’s backyard. She sent me photos of the beautiful lot that backed up to a creek and was complete with boats and a dock. I thought it was a PERFECT location! Krysti shared with me that her parent’s backyard was her happy place, and it wasn’t hard to see why.

I was so pleasantly surprised when I arrived and realized that we were going to take the boats out for a spin! Krysti’s sweet family and friends joined us during their engagement session and took the three of us out on two different boats – which allowed us to photograph from ALL of the angles! 🙂

Congratulations on your engagement, Krysti & Taylor! I can’t wait for your wedding in August!

I’ve always said that one of the best parts of my job is getting to meet new people and learn all about them. I tend to ask a lot of questions during engagement sessions because I’m genuinely interested in getting to know my couples! It’s always so much fun to hear about how they met and got engaged. And I love hearing these stories from both points of view. It always leads to a lot of laughs!

Ron is a professional skateboarder (seriously, how cool is that?!) and Jess works as a stylist in New York City. They’ve known each other since high school, and Ron proposed last year while he and Jess were SNORKELING on vacation! Ron kept Jess’ engagement ring on his finger the whole time to ensure that it didn’t float away. Luckily, the ring stayed put, and of course, Jess said yes! Most unique proposal of the year award goes to Ron? I think yes.

We met up last Tuesday night and visited some of Jess & Ron’s favorite spots in Jersey City including Lincoln Park and the waterfront overlooking New York City. Golden hour was on point that night and led to some beautiful images that I’m so excited to share with you today!

Congratulations, Jess & Ron! I can’t wait for your wedding day NEXT MONTH!

I’m so excited to be kicking off this Friday morning with Sarah and Hugh’s cherry blossom filled engagement session at Branch Brook Park. We had such a blast! As soon as we entered the park, all we could see was a sea of pink trees for MILES. No exaggeration! Between Sarah & Hugh’s fun loving personalities, the beautiful blooms, and the addition of their sweet puppy, Flip, I knew we were in for one amazing engagement session!

Towards the end of our session, we hopped in the car and drove over to the other end of Branch Brook Park (I had no idea how big of a park it is!) to a beautiful lake with the prettiest surrounding architecture and grand steps leading down to the water. If you look closely, you’ll be able to see the Cathedral in the background of some of the photos!

It was so great to spend time with Sarah & Hugh and learn more about their love story! They are such a sweet, down to earth couple who are so much fun to be around and so in love with each other. I can’t wait for their wedding next summer! Enjoy some of my favorites from their cherry blossom engagement session!

You know when you meet a person for the first time and you instantly click? That’s exactly how I felt when I met Alec and Alessandra this past Saturday in New Hope, PA for their engagement session! We chatted together about all of their wedding day details and I got to learn about their love story. This sweet couple has known each other since the 8th grade!

New Hope is such a beautiful place during all seasons, but that’s especially true during the fall. There’s nowhere else quite like it! We took photos at some of the prettiest spots in both New Hope + Lambertville including the abandoned train tracks, bike path, AND a rooftop deck at a historic inn (!!!).

Congratulations on your engagement, Alec + Alessandra! I’m so excited to share these images with you today!
