How they met….
Angie & Dennis met at her cousin’s college house party. She invited Angie to visit her apartment for the weekend and her boyfriend at the time (now husband) invited his best friend, Dennis. They gravitated towards each other and Dennis joked and flirted with Angie all night. Angie mentioned that she’s shy by nature, so she and Dennis made small talk on the couch until she finally opened up after getting to know him a bit better. They spent all night talking and laughing until the sun came up. The following morning her shyness kicked back in until he asked for her phone number to keep in touch. The rest is history!
Angie and Dennis started dating in 2010. It was tough with Dennis living in New Jersey and Angie living in New York, but they made it work. They would take turns traveling to each other every weekend. Fast forward nine years later, and they’ve been through graduations, first apartments, a dog, and new careers. And through it all, they’ve been by each others side every step of they way!
Their wedding day….
My favorite part of Angie and Dennis’s wedding was witnessing all of the love and happy tears throughout the day. Angie slipped into her beautiful wedding dress at the bridal cottage at Waterloo Village before sharing a first look with her father. It was one of the sweetest and most heartwarming moments I’ve ever photographed (seriously, just wait until you see!). Afterwards, it was time for Angie and Dennis to share their first look together. As we got Dennis into position, he told me that Angie wanted him to have a reaction to seeing her for the first time — and I think it’s very safe to say that he did!
I was so excited to work with my videographer friend, Brandon, of the husband and wife team over at Soul Focus Media! We had the best time taking Angie and Dennis all around the unique parts of the beautiful and historic property for their portraits. We finished up portrait time in front of an old white mansion with Angie and Dennis’s bridal party. Those are some of my favorite portraits from the day!
Angie and Dennis tied the knot in the Mule Barn while standing in front of a roaring fire. Before heading in to cocktail hour, we were able to take a few photos of them with a GOAT (definitely another highlight of their day!). Guests had a BLAST during the reception with the fabulous Baseline Productions! They are so much fun and such awesome entertainers. They kept guests dancing all night long!
Congratulations, Angie and Dennis! We had the best time celebrating alongside of you on your wedding day. Enjoy some of my favorites below!
If Angie & Dennis receive 30 comments on this blog post, I’ll send them a complimentary 8×10 print of their choice!
