I met up with Katherine and Andrew on Tuesday for their engagement session at Vail Mansion in Morristown, NJ. It was my first session since the stay at home orders were lifted, and it felt SO GOOD to be back in the game! As I dusted off my lenses the night before our session, I laughed at the thought of not remembering where all of the camera buttons were located! I kid, I kid 😉

Katherine and Andrew’s session was special for so many reasons! Katherine and I met years ago during our college days at Drew University. We were on the Orientation Committee together, and became fast friends! Despite having known Katherine for years, Tuesday night was my first time meeting Andrew. I always knew he was someone very special by the way she talked about him on our dinner dates together!

Andrew proposed to Katherine last July at Lake Mohawk, and I remember grinning ear to ear when I saw the photos she posted to Facebook. Katherine and I met up for lunch soon afterwards where she told me all about the proposal – and how Andrew jumped into the lake after she said “yes!”. I couldn’t have been more honored when she asked if I’d photograph their wedding!
