If you’ve been following around here for any length of time, then you know that I always say “YES!” whenever one of my couples wants to have their engagement session at the beach. Between the golden light, windswept hair, and pastel colored skies – I will forever be a major fan!

A few weeks ago, I met up with Sam & Ed at the beautiful Divine Park in Spring Lake. If you’ve never been, it has the prettiest wooden bridges, green foliage, and (of course!), a lake. Ed shared a fun fact with me, saying that the lake is man-made and is only 5 ft. deep! You learn something new every day 🙂 From there, we head over to the beach just as the sun started to set (the best time for beach pictures!).

Sam and Ed were TOTAL naturals in front of the camera! What I loved most was watching their eyes light up whenever they looked at each other. Plus, they can make each other LAUGH like no one’s business! Some of my favorite portraits of this sweet couple are the ones where their heads are thrown back with laughter!

Sam and Ed, you are both awesome, and I had the BEST time with you during our engagement session! Congratulations on your engagement! I cannot wait for your wedding next year at David’s Country Inn! I know that it’s going to be amazing.
