Ryan and I had the BEST time going away and visiting Martha’s Vineyard and Rhode Island last week! Neither of us had ever been to Martha’s Vineyard before and we absolutely fell in love with the island. On Tuesday afternoon we hopped on a quick ferry from Rhode Island that took us right into Oak Bluffs…. Talk about BEAUTIFUL. After wandering through the downtown area and spotting Vineyard Vines (my favorite!) we went over to Trinity Park to explore all of the incredible gingerbread houses (my other favorite, haha). Seriously though, I was in my glory. All of the Victorian houses were bright and vibrant and had some of the most intricate woodwork that I’ve ever seen! And don’t even get me started on the beaches — blue water that was crystal clear and not a wave in sight. Yup, I’d like to spend ALL of my summers up in Martha’s Vineyard. The next time we venture up that way we’re going to check out Edgartown. I didn’t realize how large the island was and it wasn’t possible to see everything that we wanted to on the island for the amount of time that we were there! Especially without a car, haha!
The rest of the week we spent time relaxing on the beach in Rhode Island, strolling through Watch Hill, & checking out some adorable nearby towns like Stonington & Mystic CT…. where the shopping is on point! There’s just something about New England, guys. I can’t get enough of all of the nautical charm. And I’m almost positive that Ryan feels the same way 🙂 Check out some of the iPhone photos of our trip below — looking at them is making me want to go back!
