I’ve always said that one of the best parts of my job is getting to meet new people and learn all about them. I tend to ask a lot of questions during engagement sessions because I’m genuinely interested in getting to know my couples! It’s always so much fun to hear about how they met and got engaged. And I love hearing these stories from both points of view. It always leads to a lot of laughs!

Ron is a professional skateboarder (seriously, how cool is that?!) and Jess works as a stylist in New York City. They’ve known each other since high school, and Ron proposed last year while he and Jess were SNORKELING on vacation! Ron kept Jess’ engagement ring on his finger the whole time to ensure that it didn’t float away. Luckily, the ring stayed put, and of course, Jess said yes! Most unique proposal of the year award goes to Ron? I think yes.

We met up last Tuesday night and visited some of Jess & Ron’s favorite spots in Jersey City including Lincoln Park and the waterfront overlooking New York City. Golden hour was on point that night and led to some beautiful images that I’m so excited to share with you today!
