If Allison and Stephen look a little familiar, it might be because I photographed their wedding ceremony exactly one year (to the date!) prior to the larger celebration with all of their family members and friends. Trust me, it was so worth the wait!
When I think back to Allison and Stephen’s wedding, I’m reminded of how beautifully coordinated every. single. detail. of their day was. It all started when Allison handed me her invitation suite to photograph (which, might I add, she designed herself!). The letterpress invitation had a sage green ribbon tied around it that was secured in place with a golden wax seal. It was tucked inside a green envelope with a floral pink liner. The color coordination continued with the bridesmaids dresses which were also sage green (some with pops of pale pink!). And, in keeping with the theme, Stephen’s suit jacket was also a beautiful shade of green. The artistic eye that Allison has is incredible!
Allison and Stephen’s ceremony took place outside overlooking the lake. They exchanged hand written vows and I soaked in every moment as they laughed and cried together. After the ceremony, guests gathered inside for cocktail hour while we went and photographed a few sunset portraits. The sunset is always AMAZING at Indian Trail Club (seriously, the sky is always an incredible shade of purple/pink whenever I have a wedding there!) so I was thrilled when they wanted to have a few photos with it in the background. After cocktail hour, guests entered the ballroom and had the best time dancing the night away with one another! Such a beautiful and fun evening.
