The first time I had ever been to NJ Botanical Gardens and Skylands Manor was for my engagement session with Kathy and Alex a couple of weeks ago! I had been wanting to photograph a session here for a while now, and I was SO excited when they suggested it. I’m always one hundred and ten percent on board whenever a historic mansion (and, of course, a fabulous couple!) is involved!

We had the most beautiful, golden light filled, fall evening with colorful leaves STILL on the trees. I loved exploring all of the special areas that NJ Botanical Gardens has to offer. Every time I turned around, there was a beautiful location where I wanted to photograph Kathy and Alex!

What I loved most about our session was seeing how sweet Kathy and Alex are together, and how much they make each other LAUGH! On a side note, can we talk about their outfit choices? They’re so perfect – especially for a fall session!

Kathy and Alex, I adore you both, and I had so much fun getting to know you more last weekend! Congratulations on your engagement! I cannot WAIT for your wedding at The Terrace next fall!!! Enjoy some of my favorites below!
