The Olde Mill Inn | NJ Wedding Photographer | Ashton and Ed

Ashton and Ed got married on the most perfect September day at The Olde Mill Inn. I grew up not too far away from their venue (but had yet to photograph a wedding there!) and I was excited to see it up close. It’s such a beautiful venue with so much history – the perfect backdrop for Ashton and Ed’s elegant and rustic wedding!

Ashton and Ed got ready in neighboring rooms at the venue. We took a few “getting ready” portraits before heading over to St. Joseph’s Church in Mendham. When I walked inside the church I took note of the beautiful candlelit lanterns that lined the center aisle. As I made my way down the aisle towards the altar I saw a custom made candle (painted with their names and wedding date!) for Ashton and Ed to light during their ceremony. I loved that personal touch!

A vintage, white Rolls Royce picked Ashton and Ed up from the ceremony and drove them back to The Olde Mill Inn (we were sure to get some photos of them with it before it left!). We took bridal party and family formals in the beautiful garden area behind the venue. Ashton and Ed were such good sports for their portraits. I had them posing all over the property! The venue made such a perfect backdrop and there were so many neat locations locations to choose from.

Guests gathered into the ballroom after they enjoyed the delicious cocktail hour spread. One of my favorite moments from Ashton and Ed’s reception was watching them do the “chicken dance” towards the end of the evening. I loved watching how much fun they were having together! And it was definitely a crowd favorite as well.
