An elegant, classic, and southern inspired celebration….

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful fall day for a wedding at the Shadowbrook at Shrewsberry. I had such a wonderful time second shooting Lexie & Mickey’s wedding with my friend Jen of Jennifer Larsen Photography. It’s always such a joy to work with her!

We photographed Lexie getting ready in the bridal suite at the Shadowbrook at Shrewsberry. The suite is incredible and complete with floor to ceiling windows, white walls, and plush furniture. Her closest girlfriends helped her into the dress, and her sweet flower girls fluffed out the bottom. After the bridal portraits had been taken and Lexie was ready, we placed Mickey in one of the beautiful gardens on the property. The first look was about to happen and the nerves and anticipation were running strong! Lexie approached Mickey, tapped him on the shoulder, and when he turned around they gave each other the biggest hug ever. First looks will always be one of my favorite parts to photograph during a wedding day. See why I love them by clicking here!

After the first look, we continued to take bride and groom portraits all around the property at the Shadowbrook at Shrewsberry. With the various gardens, classic architecture, and golden hour light, the photography possibilities were literally endless!

The couple shared their vows and tied the knot during a small and intimate outdoor ceremony. After the ceremony, Lexie and Mickey were able to sneak up to the bridal suite and share dinner with each other. That’s right, just the two of them by themselves! I love how they were able to have this moment to soak in all that had happened. So sweet!

The evening continued with dancing, toasts, and the unveiling of one of the most incredible dessert rooms I’ve ever seen. The Shadowbrook at Shrewsberry doesn’t mess around when it comes to desserts! Guests had a plethora of options to choose from including ice cream, waffles, and hot chocolate just to name a few.
