When Sarah contacted me earlier this summer and told me that her wedding was going to be at FDU I knew it was going to be a great one. I had been on FDU’s Madison campus once before and was in awe of its historic mansion, Hennessy Hall. The mansion is complete with marble fireplaces, cathedral ceilings, and some of the most beautiful gardens. The perfect venue for a wedding if you ask me!

Sarah and Gianluca met at a restaurant in NYC in May of 2015. They became engaged this past March, and found out that they were expecting a baby girl on the day Gianluca proposed!

Sarah and Gianluca’s elegant, classic, and intimate wedding was such a beautiful celebration. The weather held out for us, and the couple was able to tie the knot in one of the gardens. Many of Gianluca’s family members and friends flew all the way over from Italy to celebrate with the couple. I loved listening to their friends give speeches and readings in Italian during the service! The couple spent the rest of the evening enjoying their guests, dancings, and eating some delicious cake (seriously, it looked amazing, haha!). Plus, we were able to get some super beautiful golden hour portraits. My favorite!
