A little rain in the forecast couldn’t stop Steph and Prashant from having the most beautiful wedding day! From start to finish, every detail was absolutely perfect – from the incredible floral ceremony arch to the arrival of their adorable puppy, Luna. We even had the chance to sneak out in between rain droplets for portraits! The cherry trees were in full bloom and made for some amazing photos (just wait until you see them!).

Steph and Prashant first met in medical school at NYU. Though initially peripheral friends who often hung out in a larger group, they became much closer once Steph asked for Prashant’s grandmother’s bread pudding recipe after having it a few times at prior potlucks, before baking it together. They then quickly became close friends once realizing their mutual interest in exploring New York City, and agonizing over the annual woes of being Philadelphia Eagles fans.

Steph and Prashant started dating in the winter of 2016. No matter how busy things got, they always made time to do things together, whether cooking, studying, traveling, or skiing (Prashant taught Steph how…). Though they didn’t necessarily know which specialty they’d pursue or where they’d want to live, they did know that they certainly wanted to go through it all together. 2018 was great – they both matched at Cornell in New York City for residency together, skiied more than ever before, and most importantly, the Eagles won their first Super Bowl! Soon after moving in together and starting residency, Steph and Prashant made their best decision yet – adopting their dog, Luna! For these past few years, she’s filled their home with tons of love and laughs, but mostly with fur.

Prashant had made an elaborate plan to propose to Steph in April of 2020, but a pandemic put that on hold for the time being. After finally being able to travel again, Steph and Prashant made a trip out to Colorado in September, and started off their trip in Aspen. Prashant told Steph he made a reservation at a restaurant on the top of Aspen mountain for lunch the day after their arrival. After getting to the top of mountain, Prashant suggested heading over to the viewpoint atop the mountain before grabbing lunch. While appreciating the beautiful scenery, Prashant popped the question, a moment captured by a photographer hiding in the bushes. The photographer walked them along the trail, only to “stumble” upon a surprise picnic with champagne and charcuterie overlooking the mountain range.
