Before I left for Bar Harbor on Saturday, I spent entirely WAY too much time staring at my lenses and deciding which one I wanted to take with me. I didn’t want to bring all of my gear with me because, let’s be real, it’s all super heavy and I wanted to make sure I was actually enjoying adventuring in Maine without being weighed down by my camera bag!
Eventually I was able to narrow it down to my 35mm 1.8 and 50mm 1.4. I decided to go with my 50 because it’s super lightweight lens and shows amazing detail! Even though the 50mm is a portrait lens, it has somewhat of a wide angle (similar to what the human eye sees), so I’m able to take landscape photos with it too!
Even though I love my prime lenses, to be totally honest, I think my absolute ideal lens to travel with would be the 24-70 2.8, just because it goes super wide and had some zoom — so it’s able to cover more ground! But I’m still saving up for that one 🙂 So for now, my 50mm 1.4 is my go to travel lens!
Happy Wednesday 🙂
