I have a big bowl of chocolate ice cream almost every night right after dinner! Sometimes I even douse it in chocolate syrup…. and chocolate chips 🙂 The moral of the story is that I have a MAJOR sweet tooth. Can you tell? Haha.
Pretty much the only TV channel that I watch is HGTV and it’s been that way for years! I can remember being a kid, sitting in front of the TV, and watching This Old House with my parents on Friday nights while eating dinner…. anyone remember Bob Villa? Now, Fixer Upper is hands down my favorite TV show ever (Flip or Flop is a close second!). Chip & Joanna are the best and every home renovation that they do amazes me!
Give me a packed house with hundreds of people to speak in front of and I feel right at home. Give me five people to speak in front of at a meeting and cue ALL of the heart palpitations. Weird, right? I guess that’s because speaking in front of a few people feels far more personal to me…. that, and you can see their faces!
If you follow along on my Instagram, you probably already know this, but, I have a super cute boyfriend named Ryan! We met in college almost 4 years ago and I can’t believe it’s been that long! Our first date was at the iHop around the block from his college campus. We ordered pancakes and I literally could barely eat any of mine, haha! He’s the sweetest and I’m so thankful to have him in my life!
I went to an all girls high school and wore a uniform complete with ugly all black Oxford uniform sneakers. They were so ugly that the majority of us left them in our lockers and switched into normal shoes before leaving the building after school. I’m laughing right now just thinking about them! We were allowed to change the shoe laces from black to whatever colors that we wanted, and every year around Christmas time I switched mine over to green & red. I have to admit that that waskind of fun. Kind of.
I don’t really listen to music unless I’m the car — and even then, sometimes I like to just roll the windows down and listen to the wind! It always distracts me whenever I put it on and sit down to do something that I need to concentrate on. When I am listening to music though, 9 times out of 10 it’s country! Love me some Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, & Florida Georgia Line!
Even though I’m from the north and love Nantucket and puffy blue hydrangeas as much as the next person, there’s just SOMETHING about the south. I love it! I went to Savannah, GA last may and fell in love with all of it’s charm and history. I could have moved right onto Jones Street with all of those incredible moss covered trees. Ahhh, take me back!
I’m obsessed with historical architecture. Seriously, I can’t get enough of it. Ryan drives us all over the place on weekends just so I can get to see some beautiful row homes, haha! But I think he loves it too 🙂 If I were ever to go back to school to study something, it would definitely be for historical architecture or historic preservation. I think that would be so cool to learn about!
My favorite movie will ALWAYS be The Holiday. It’s one of those movies that you just never get tired of. I could literally watch it on repeat for days on end! Plus, Jude Law. Enough said. I’ve watched it twice already this month 🙂
Charleston, SC is next on my travel list (Mackinac Island is the second after that!). Everyone I know always says that it’s right up my ally and that I would love it, and from the look of all of the pictures that I’ve seen, I’m sure I will! I’m hoping to get down there sometime in September. Fingers crossed!
